Shop Carpenter / Laborer
The Cleveland Ballet is currently seeking a carpenter/ laborer to finish getting our brand new scene shop ready for set construction and then constructing the set for our spring production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Playhouse Square.
This is a full-time non-exempt temporary position beginning approximately March 14, 2022, and continuing through early May 2022. This position has the potential to turn into a full-time permanent position at the end of the contract for the right person.
The scene shop will be a nice blend of laid-back fun, safety, and professionalism. The use of illegal substances and alcohol is strictly prohibited in all Cleveland Ballet workspaces at all times.
Basic knowledge of construction
Ability to read construction blueprints
Use of tools necessary for construction, including power tools
Special consideration will be given to persons possessing welding knowledge/ tools.
Training in scenic construction techniques/ materials can be provided to candidates with exceptional knowledge of basic woodworking construction tools/ techniques.
You will report to the Production Manager.
