Cleveland’s Nutcracker by Bakhtiar Bakhtiarov

This Christmas story seemed to have swept the world like a wildfire.  First staged 125 years ago at the Imperial Mariinsky Theater, the enchanting ballet production of the Nutcracker conquered the best stages of the world.  Tchaikovsky’s fairy tale became the calling card of the Russian ballet school.

Cleveland Concert Dance: Cleveland Ballet’s Nutcracker Human Resources

We went to see Cleveland Ballet’s Nutcracker Suite at the Hanna Theatre on Friday.  It stayed close to the traditional story and the traditional use of Tchaikovsky’s music, but achieved uncommon success by using its resources well.

Cleveland Ballet Named Resident Company of Playhouse Square

We are thrilled to announce that on October 14, 2017, Cleveland Ballet will present its first performance as the newest resident company at Playhouse Square. The company will perform Les Sylphides with music by Frederic Chopin.
