CLEVELAND, OH September 17, 2016: Cleveland Ballet is pleased to announce an open rehearsal for its fall production A Celebration of Dance & Music. On Tuesday, September 27 from 1-2:30 p.m., Cleveland has a unique opportunity to observe guest one of the final rehearsal of the upcoming mix playbill. The event will take place at our studios at 23030 Miles Road in Bedford.
This performance begins Cleveland Ballet’s second season by adding new ballet works to the company’s repertoire. It will also show case young artists from the school. Venezuelan dancer turned choreographer Thielen works with the Cleveland Ballet company. Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe also choreographs a portion A Celebration of Dance & Music. Each dance is both inspired by specific styles of dance such as the Argentinian Tango, Spanish Granada and Classical timeless scores.
Following the rehearsal, members of the media will have opportunities to interview Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe, Dr. Michael Krasnyansky CEO and Chairman of the Board, and select company members.
Cleveland Ballet is pleased to bring classic ballet to Cleveland and to have their work supported by the Ohio Arts Council. During the 2015-16 season we reached over 14,000 audience members and started an educational outreach program including a partnership with Bedford and Warrensville Heights School Districts. This season our education outreach also includes the Maple Heights School District.
